"You don't have diabetes, so why should you try a CGM?

Diabetes takes year, even decades to develop and the body is great at keeping it "hidden" for a long time...unless you know what to look for or have a CGM!

Diabetes and pre-diabetes do not develop over night and symptoms are often already showing years before, if you know what to look for. Unfortunately conventional glucose tests only give you an in the moment reading (ie fasting finger prick) or a 3 month average (iHb A1c blood test), but won't tell you anything about how much your glucose levels are fluctuation during a 24 hour period (Variability). This is actually very important, because high variability (the famous glucose rollercoaster) causes a lot of stress in the body, since it needs to overcompensate to change the direction before it hits dangerous levels. A steep rise in glucose can even be mistaken for "low glucose levels", because the symptoms can be similar, but then adding a glass of juice to bring up you glucose is the opposite of what is needed. Longterm this creates problems in the body.

But it is not just about preventing disease down the line, it is about living your best life now. Do you often feel tired, have energy slumps after meals or get "Hangry" when you have not eaten for a few hours? And what about the weight that you just can not seem to shift, especially around the middle?

CGMs allow you to  have a look into your body in "real time" and discover what foods work best for YOU!

So how does a CGM help with all this?

CGMs harness the power of prevention. They were originally developed to help patients with diabetes to MANAGE their condition, but are now more recognised as a tool that can help PREVENT (pre)diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Conventional test can not show trends like CGMs do, meaning they often pick up abnormalities much later.

"I believe everybody should have access to a Continuous Glucose Monitor
and benefit from it's preventative power"

Why join one of my online CGM group programmes if you can just buy a CGM?

So if you can buy a CGM and download free software by yourself, why do you need me?

Let me ask you this: if you buy a tennis racket and some balls for the first time, would you be able to hit some balls? Probably yes.

Would it make you a tennis pro? Probably not.

Would having some tennis lessons, either straight away (for some basics) or a bit later after a little play around, be a good idea?

Possibly yes.

And that is where I come in. I can not promise to make you a tennis pro (sorry) but I promise I can help you get the most out of your CGM and help you achieve your health goals quicker (and stay within the lines off court).

Once you know the tech stuff and have learned what glucose does in your body and how to rebalance it, you can continue on your own and have a tool for the rest of your life that lets you "check in" whenever you feel like it.

"Weight loss is NOT about calories in vs calories out! Or about "eat less, move more"!
It is about balancing hormones, with insulin being a key player...and glucose being it's main side kick."

Hi, I'm Gesa

I'm a registered Nutritional Therapist & Health Coach and I specialise in helping people optimise their blood sugar levels using Continuous Glucose Monitors, to prevent or reverse chronic disease. Since discovering that I was pre-diabetic after wearing a CGM for the first time, I have made it my mission to bring awareness to the "preventative power" of Continuous Glucose Monitors and aim to make them accessible to everyone.
